While Machu Picchu is a once-in-a-lifetime visit, Peru has a remarkable abundance of other equally breath-taking sites. We would strongly suggest that visitors not miss the salt mines of Maras, the experimental circles of Moray, or the “white city” of Arequipa.The condors of the Colca Canyon are as impressive as the almost unbelievable and ubiquitous pre-Inca and Incan terraces, which, themselves, are almost as amazing as the breath-taking stonework of the Incan buildings. Perhaps most surprising was the superb food that we had at almost every turn. Our guides/hosts Ernesto and Luis deserve our full credit and appreciation for making it accessible and enjoyable for us, and you deserve credit for setting it all up.
