From the moment we were met at the airport upon our arrival to Cusco, to the moment we were dropped off to fly back, we felt nothing but professionalism, positive energy and country pride from all the guides/drivers we encountered. Every detail was thought through, everyone was always on time, we felt pampered. The hotels you chose for us met all our expectations and at times, exceeded them. We loved the hotel in Cusco and the property in Sacred Valley was beautiful and peaceful. All the guides were great but we spent most of our time with Freddy who was AWESOME. We enjoyed his company and learned a lot about Peru thru his stories. The trek to the Rainbow mountain was once in a life time experience and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide with us than Freddy. We were also pleasantly surprised with how much we enjoyed the cooking class. I think it had to do with our instructor Jennyfer, she was wonderful plus the rooftop kitchen with the view of Cusco- what an experience! We had a short interaction with Olga but she was great as well, super positive and engaging. While everyone associates Peru with Machu Picchu, we had a chance to see and learn so much more about your beautiful country. We challenged ourselves physically like never before. In each destination, all the logistics went very smoothly and the guides/tours used were exceptional. While Machu Picchu is a once-in-a-lifetime visit, Peru has a remarkable abundance of other equally breath-taking sites. We would strongly suggest that visitors not miss the salt mines of Maras, the experimental circles of Moray, or the “white city” of Arequipa.The condors of the Colca Canyon are as impressive as the almost unbelievable and ubiquitous pre-Inca and Incan terraces, which, themselves, are almost as amazing as the breath-taking stonework of the Incan buildings. Perhaps most surprising was the superb food that we had at almost every turn. Our guides/hosts Ernesto and Luis deserve our full credit and appreciation for making it accessible and enjoyable for us, and you deserve credit for setting it all up.
